Department & Head

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is a part of the SBS State Technical campus Poly Wing. The Department was set up in 2009 with intake of 120. It is Electronics and Communication Engineering that influences our routine life in the most pleasant ways. It aims to produce quality professionals in Electronics and communication engineering to compete globally and excel by carrying out practical engineering in emerging areas by developing strong relations with the industry. We feel proud when we see our students well placed in the top ITs and Electronic companies and many are pursuing their higher studies from reputed institutes of India. Most of the faculty members are having Post Graduate Degrees from various reputed universities.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering is being headed by Mr. Gurjeevan Singh since December 2010, who has his got Post Graduation degree from P.T.U, Kapurthala. He is fully involved in research and has published more than 36 research papers in the reputed International Journals & Conferences. He has guided 10 Post Graduate students in their research work as their co-guide. He is also a active member in organizing research activities like International/National Conferences and various extra-curricular activities like Blood Donation camp, Tree Plantation and guest lectures on social evils like Drugs addiction, female foeticide etc.

	To Educate a new generation of Engineers to meet the challenges of the future by providing them with a positive foundation of the both the theory and practice of Electronics and Communication Engineering at diploma level All round development of students by providing well planned environment and infrastructure for learning and skill development for the benefit of society.
